JEWELRY CARE
Your NYLANI pieces are made to bring a little luxury into your everyday rotation. To keep your jewelry looking its best, a little care goes a long way.
Our pieces are selected with everyday wear in mind, but like all fashion jewelry, proper care helps protect the finish, shine, and longevity of each piece.
How to Care for Your Jewelry
To keep your jewelry looking good for as long as possible:
Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, working out, or applying lotions, perfumes, oils, and body sprays.
Avoid direct contact with harsh chemicals, cleaning products, chlorine, salt water, and excessive moisture.
Put your jewelry on last when getting dressed and take it off first when winding down.
Store each piece separately in a pouch, jewelry box, or soft-lined container to help prevent scratches, tangling, or rubbing against other pieces.
Gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, dry cloth after wearing to remove oils, sweat, or product buildup.
Water-Resistant Jewelry
NYLANI pieces are water-resistant and made for everyday wear, which means they can handle normal exposure to water, like handwashing, light moisture, and everyday life.
However, to keep your pieces looking their best long-term, we recommend avoiding repeated or extended exposure to water, especially pools, oceans, hot tubs, harsh soaps, perfumes, lotions, and cleaning products.
Your jewelry can get wet, just be mindful of what it’s exposed to and how often.
For best results, gently pat your pieces dry after they come in contact with water and store them in a dry place when you’re not wearing them.
How to Store Your Jewelry
When you’re not wearing your pieces, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Avoid leaving your jewelry in bathrooms, cars, gym bags, or anywhere humid. Moisture and heat can affect the finish over time.
For bracelets, bangles, and necklaces, store them flat or separated to prevent tangling and scratches. For earrings and rings, keep them in a pouch or small jewelry organizer.
What to Avoid
To help protect your pieces, avoid wearing your jewelry while:
Showering or bathing
Swimming in pools, oceans, or hot tubs
Working out or sweating heavily
Sleeping
Cleaning with harsh products
Applying perfume, lotion, oils, sunscreen, or hair products
A good rule: last on, first off.
Cleaning Your Jewelry
After wearing, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, dry, non-abrasive cloth.
Do not use jewelry cleaners, polishing creams, alcohol, or harsh chemicals unless the product specifically states it is safe for plated or stainless steel jewelry.
If needed, lightly dampen a soft cloth with water, wipe gently, and dry completely before storing.
